Hello, everyone. This will be my second attempt at blogging about the St. Louis Cardinals (and baseball in general).
You may remember me from such blogs as The 26th Man. I started that blog three years ago, completely ignorant to the vast amount of superior baseball bloggers and other writers already in existence. Begun during the 2005 Winter Meetings, The 26th Man chronicled the Cardinals’ magical (and miraculous) 2006 season that culminated in a World Series title. I closed that blog not long after the 2007 campaign began, for reasons not important to our discussion.
While blogging at The 26th Man, I learned a great deal about the wealth of baseball information and expanded my knowledge of the game. I also learned that my skills at baseball blogging are about as good as my skills at baseball playing, which is to say, “virtually non-existent.”
Nevertheless, nearly two years after closing down The 26th Man, I’ve got an itch to blog about the Cardinals (and baseball in general) again. I haven’t the foggiest about how often I will post or how long I can keep it up. One thing I can promise is that it will be terrible.
You might also be asking, “Jeff, this blog looks familiar to one I’ve seen before.” Well, you might be thinking of Anonymous Communist, the non-baseball oriented blog of mine. Take a look around there if you’re in need of a non-prescription sleep aid but don’t like baseball.

welcome back to the blog-o-sphere jeff…I really enjoyed the 26th man actually. for your information, all the other cardinal bloggers are more knowledgeable than me but I still post rants on my blog…I actually get a couple of hits a day
I just wanted to say, nice to see you have that itch again and back to talking baseball.

So far, so good. I also was a fan of The 26th Man.
Can’t we use the sleep aid even if we are fans of baseball?

Thanks, Matt. You may use the sleep aid, but do not drive or attempt to operate heavy machinery after reading.

Looking forward to your posts.

When do you plan to write “Ode to a Gritty White Infielder: The Aaron Miles Saga”?
